Norwegian fiddler Olav Luksengard Mjelva was rewarded a price in the category for Traditional folk music and dance

2009 saw the release of Olav Luksengård Mjelva’s debut album that made him a Grammy Award Winner during last night’s Spelemannprisen - the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.

Synnøve S. Bjørset was nominated in the same category for her second solo album Slåttar, as well as Sigurd Brokke & Daniel Sandén-Warg for their record Rammeslag II.
