Womex, the World Music Expo, has expanded to become a diverse, multicultural, increasingly popular expression of interest in world culture.

Hallgrim Hansegard, Ragnhild Furebotten and Annbjørg Lien are amongst the very best musicians on the current traditional Norwegian music scene and will perform during the opening concert at Womex 2009.

From 2009 – 2011 the World Music exhibition will be held in Copenhagen adding an extra Nordic flavor to the event. A Nordic club will be included to the program putting on show two bands from each of the Nordic countries. Unni Løvlid and Johan Sara jr will represent Norway.
