HURVOMHEI! breathes new life into old musical traditions, with folk music on drum and fiddle based on traditions from Hedmark. In the past Hedmark was the site of many military camps, and there is convincing evidence that drummers worked there and also played together with local musicians. The rediscovery of these old Norwegian drum «tunes» has led to the documentation of traditional drumming via transcriptions and written and visual sources.
