The dance company FRIKAR is a meeting-place for the best professional freelancers in Norway in the genres of folk dance and contemporary dance. The productions LAUS, JAMSIIS and virvelvind have been supported by Arts Council Norway. LAUS (2006) was presented to sold-out houses at the Norwegian Folk Music Week in Ål, and received glowing reviews. LAUS was also performed at Folkelarm in 2006.

“LAUS” 33 minutes of lausdans (acrobatic dance). Nine performers: Martin Myhr, Sigbjørn Rua, Ulf-Arne Johannessen, Solveig Hårdnes, Anders Aasberg, Hallgrim Hansegård, Gjermund Bråten, Andreas Ljones and Andreas Bratlie.

“KRUK!” 55 minutes of lausdans and animation. Eight performers: Martin Myhr, Sigbjørn Rua, Ulf-Arne Johannessen, Solveig Hårdnes, Anders Aasberg, Hallgrim Hansegård, Andreas Ljones and Andreas Bratlie.

“JAMSIIS” 37 minutes of shadow theatre with live videos and animation, contemporary dance/capoeira/lausdans. Five performers: Hallgrim Hansegård, Andreas Ljones, Øyonn Groven Myhren, Andreas Bratlie and Bruno Caverna.

“BASTARD” 45 minutes of contemporary dance with live videos. Six performers: Rolf-Erik Nystrøm, Terje Isungset, Frode Haltli, Bruno Caverna, Ingeleiv Berstad, Hallgrim Hansegård.

“THE SNUFF GRINDERS” 40 minutes of capoeira, breakdance and lausdans. Eight performers: Hallgrim Hansegård, Ulf-Arne Johannessen, Prof. Muilinho, Mestre Maclau, Dark Mark and Lars Aastebøl.
