Hopp Helling is a programme designed for children aged 5 and over and their families.
The members of the ensemble are: Unni Bokasp - vocals and dancing, Torgeir Leivdal - fiddle, Martin Myhr - dancing, Jørn Simenstad bukkehorn (rams horn), lur (wooden horn) and various flutes.
The performance is based on folk music and folk tales from the area of Nord-Møre, but the presentation can be enjoyed by audiences all over the country. The programme can easily be adapted to all kinds of venues, both indoors and outdoors, and is thus suitable for different contexts. The length of the presentation makes it ideal for school concerts. The members of the group can also participate in other concerts, both as soloists and in ensembles. They offer children and adults courses in folk singing, willow pipe playing, and Halling and other folk dances with their own fiddlers.
The ensemble has presented this programme at the Førde International Folk Music Festival and the Jørn Hilme Festival in Fagernes. The members of the group carry out extensive course and concert activities as soloists and as members of other ensembles.
