Berg, Hallgrim

Hallgrim_Berg

Hallgrim Berg performs traditional folk melodies from Hallingdal and other regions of Norway on the munnharpe (jaw harp) and seljefløyte (willow flute).

Besides performing solo, he also plays together with Erik Røine on munnharpe, Zotora on didgeridoo, and Rune Klakegg on piano. The techno-CD Licensed to Dance is the result of his experimental collaboration on the munnharpe with the techno-band Ari Thunda. Hallgrim's performances (in Norwegian, English, German or French) include informative talks on Norwegian folk music history and tradition, liberally sprinkled with humorous stories and anecdotes.
